The Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme

From 15^th February 2023, Davies Group Ltd is the appointed administrator of the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (DMPS). TopMark Claims Management Ltd (TMS), as a subsidiary of the Davies Group specialising in casualty claims, will continue with the day-to-day running of the scheme as they have since 1^st April 2018.

The scheme is designed to compensate people with Diffuse Mesothelioma who, either negligently or in breach of statutory duty, were exposed to asbestos by their employers and are unable to bring a claim for compensation against that employer of that employer’s Employer’s Liability insurer.

Should the person diagnosed with Mesothelioma pass away, the scheme can also make payments to their eligible dependants.

Once a fully completed application form and the requisite documents have been received, it will be assessed within four weeks. If an application is successful, the subsequent payment will be made within a further two weeks.

Assuming all requisite documentation has been provided at the outset, the entire application process should take a minimum of six weeks.
